The Las Vegas-based Northern and Central New Mexico law firm is also changing the format this year from an essay-based contest to an entry-based sweepstakes in order to allow more parents, grandparents, and guardians to participate.
LAS VEGAS, New Mexico, June 20, 2022–Grano Law Offices, P.C. proudly announces the 3rd annual kick-off of the “Bike 4 New Mexico Kids” Sweepstakes. Firm founder and attorney, Marc A. Grano, will be giving away ten bicycles to ten children, age 12 and under, in August 2022.
The firm will award prizes based on a random drawing of ten names while also giving participants a chance to enter daily. Families from northern and central New Mexico may participate, including Las Vegas, Mora, Santa Rosa, Raton, Española, Los Alamos, Santa Fe, Rio Rancho, and surrounding areas.
Bikes 4 New Mexico Kids Background
Grano launched an essay contest aimed at receiving 150-word essay responses from parents in 2020 and carried the contest into 2021. The firm asked parents to submit entries about how their child has overcome adversity or contributed to their community. The tradition of giving away ten bicycles continues through to this year.
In the past, contest winners were announced via social media, email, and the Grano Law Offices, P.C. website. Each winning child was voluntarily photographed with their new bicycle for social media. “I enjoy seeing the kids and their reactions. They look so proud of what they have accomplished and are being rewarded for it,” said Grano of his favorite part of the contest.
The Entry Format Changes This Year
With the vast majority of internet activity on smartphones, a 150-word essay is not always easy to tap out, especially for busy parents. This year, Grano Law Offices, P.C. is changing the entry format from essay-based to entry-based.
Participants will be allowed to enter up to one (1) time daily through the sweepstakes period (July 1 – July 31, 2022), with a random drawing occurring on August 1, 2022. The more parents and adults enter, the greater their chances are of winning one of ten bicycles for their child, under age 12.
Bicycles Change Lives
The contest is a promotional effort inspired by the important roll a safe and reliable bicycle plays in a child’s life. Grano says, “It is important to recognize how physical health and mobility play a role in our children’s lives. Rewarding that now could result in healthier attitudes and lifestyles for adults in New Mexico,” regarding his effort to continue the contest.
Not only do bicycles offer physical benefits, but they also offer children an opportunity to connect in the offline world. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), children are at a higher risk for developing mental health and behavioral challenges. Positive outlets can help them cope better.
With the Coronavirus pandemic and New Mexico wildfires, kids need positive outlets and a way to connect now, more than ever.
